6th Annual Bon Om Tuk – 2009
This year the Khmer-Krom Dragons (KKD) team celebrates in the 6th Annual Bon Om Tuk hosted by the Asian American Dragon Boat Association. The KKD participates in the Junior-mixed division, Senior-mixed division, and the Exhibition division. The KKD team places first in all three divisions.

The Annual Bon Om Tuk 2009 event took place at Thea’s Park in Tacoma, WA. The event started from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, August 8th. The weather was cloudy which make a perfect condition for the paddlers but not so great for all of the fans. There were great food, live music, traditional dances, and off course the dragon boat races.Majority of the team comes from the greater Washington areas ranges from Kirkland to the north to Olympia to the south. As bonuses there are 4 teams come all the way down from the neighboring Oregon state. Everyone has a great time enjoying the entertainment and catching up with family and friends.

KKD team would like to express it sincerely thanks for all of the supports and especially to the elders who brought great foods for the team to feast on.
