Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Thursday he had no hard feelings towards Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen who Gen Chavalit Yongchaiyudh said had prepared a beautiful house to receive Thaksin Shinawatra if the former Thai prime minister wanted to stay in Cambodia.

Mr Abhisit said he believed the Cambodian leader was mature enough to differentiate matters and had no intention to interfere in Thailand's internal affairs.

He said he would not raise this matter with Hun Sen when he attends the Asean Summit this weekend, adding that the Cambodian leader had told him before of his relations with Thaksin.
If Thaksin came to stay in Cambodia, the government would seek his extradition under a treaty between the two countries, Mr Abhisit said.

On Hun Sen's not being available to attend the opening of the Asean Summit, Mr Abhisit said this was nothing unusual since several other leaders would not be able to attend the ceremony as well. This would not affect the relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The prime minister said he would not mind if Gen Chavalit continued to visit neighbouring countries as long as he adheres mainly to the country's interests.
