Running from 22-25 October and under the theme "Breaking Barriers- Believe to Achieve", the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) Convention 2009 aimed to prepare delegates for a tough and challenging environment with zero airline commissions. Business sessions and speakers covered a range of topics including "The Green Imperative - The Challenges before Travel and Tourism."? There was also two days of B2B sessions, which welcomed Thailand hoteliers and travel trade suppliers and brought the number of delegates to over 1000. After the convention, delegates took part in a three-night familiarization trip to 10 destinations in Thailand and beyond. Delegates visited destinations including Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Phuket, Chiang Rai, Cambodia, Vietnam and The Philippines. |
