The fourth Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival (NIIFF) is set to start in the capital from June 25.
Altogether thirteen films, documentaries and short films from Gurung, Magar, Tamang, Rai, Limbu, Sunuwar, Byasi and Dhimal communities and nineteen films from countries including India, Bhutan, Cambodia, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Argentina will be showcased at this year's festival. The films will be based on the theme of "Transfer of Knowledge".
The films will be screened at Rastriya Sabha Griha (City Hall) and Nepal Tourism Board auditoriums.
Golden Drum, Silver Drum and Bronze Drum will be awarded to three different movies as per the recommendations of the five-member jury except the Audience Choice award, which will be awarded as per the recommendations from the audience.
The event, which will be jointly organized by Indigenous Film Archive in collaboration with National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities, will run until June 27.
