The Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee spoke highly of the CPV, saying that it had steadfastly guided the Vietnamese people through their dificulties and challenges and continued their important achievements.

The Lao Party was pleased to see the continued development of friendly relations, special solidarity and comprehensive co-operation between two Parties, Governments and peoples, it said.

Laos also thanked Viet Nam for its support to the Lao revolution and its process of national building and defence.

The Communist Party of China Central Committee wrote that Viet Nam's political situation was stable, its economy was growing, people were living and working in peace and contentment, and the country was continuing to enhance its presence in international and regional forums.

The Viet Nam-China traditional friendship was valued by the two Parties, Governments and peoples, it said.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam-China diplomatic relations, also known as "the Viet Nam-China friendship year", and China said it was taking the opportunity to work with Viet Nam to preserve their traditional friendship, strengthen mutual trust and deepen co-operation.
