Jatuporn: MFA's confidential plan to "get rid of" Thaksin

Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya has sent a confidential memorandum to the prime minister recommending for the elimination of fugitive ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra, Pheu Thai MP Jatuporn Prompan said on Friday.

Jatuporn said Kasit saw Thaksin as a most serious threat to the government and a root cause for the soured relations between Thailand and Cambodia.

"Kasit has outlined his action plans, including the varying-degree of measures to signal to Cambodia, and recommended to get rid of the root cause of the problem," he said.

He said Kasit's memorandum was leaked by a Foreign Ministry official to Pheu Thai MP Sanguan Pongmanee from Lamphun.
