Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Friday he still wants to meet leaders of the People's Alliance for Democracy although they have postponed the planned rally from Dec 11 to Jan 25.
Mr Abhsit said he wanted to exchange information with PAD leaders because they still see several matters differently.
It was not necessary for the Thai government to withdraw from the World Heritage Committee as demanded by the PAD because the committee could well address problems between Thailand and Cambodia over the Preah Vihear temple, he said.
On the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship's planned rally at the Democracy Monument on Dec 10, Mr Abhisit said he had assigned the Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation to sent representatives to hold talks with the new UDD leader.
