Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will pay an official visit to China from Dec. 13 to 17 at the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
The following is the profile of Hun Sen.
Hun Sen was born on Aug. 5, 1952 in Kampong Cham Province. He was elected as vice president of the Cambodian People's Party in October 1991 and served as Second Prime Minister of Cambodia after the first general election in 1993.
Hun Sen became the Cambodian prime minister after winning the general election in 1998 and was reelected in 2003 and 2008, respectively.
Hun Sen is married with five children. He paid official visits to China in 1996, 1999 and 2004, respectively.
