Makassar (ANTARA News) - Buddhist Cultural show`s organizing committee prepared an interesting show of a three-country dance collaboration from October 3 to 10, 2009 in Tanjung Bunga, Makassar.
Tri Dharma Vihara Girigana foundation chairman, Roy Muslim said that the organizers have prepared at least 45 different dances from three countries, namely Indonesia, Cambodia and Thailand, here Tuesday.
"From every dance to be performed at this cultural festival, we also prepared a spectacular show of the three-country dance collaboration," he said.
For the three countries dance collaboration which would be difficult, the organizers admitted that they had to send a dance instructor from Surabaya, who is considered to be familiarized with Cambodian, Thai and Indonesian dances.
Meanwhile, the show would be performed by dancers from Makassar, and they would be guided by several skilled dance instructors. This event would also be enlivened by several activities like bazaars, entertainments, talk shows and a culinary show.
Roy said that this event would be very special, considering that it will be the first held in Indonesia, previously the events were held in Cambodia and Thailand.
"We hope that this event could run smoothly, therefore we open this show free of charge to the public in Makassar," he said.
Besides several dance performances, a giant boat replica would also jazz up the event, considering it was built by Cambodian Palace art workers, sent by the King of Cambodia."We will also be presenting a Sukhotai Buddha statue replica, just like the one on Thailand`s mountain hill, and we prepared a special sculptor to make the result perfect," he said.
