Cambodia had granted operating licenses to 2,606 new companies in the
first nine months of this year, a 11 percent rise from 2,336 new firms
at the same period a year ago, the report of the Commerce Ministry
Those companies are dealing in the businesses
of garment and textile, footwear, agriculture, agro-industry, tourism,
real estate, transport service, import and export, information
technology and mining.
They are opened by businesspeople mostly from China, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan and Singapore, besides Cambodia.
and economic stability in combination with favorable business
environment is attributed to the rise in new company opening.
The country gave licenses to 3,090 new firms in 2011.
