VietNamNet Bridge – Hanoi authorities have approved a plan to apply information technology at government agencies in the capital city from now to 2015, under which, at least ten public services will be online by the end of 2010.
The city plans to offer ten kinds of public services online, at the third level, by the end of next year. At this level, people and businesses can exchange information and send documents to government agencies via the Hanoi People’s Committee’s website or the websites of government agencies in Hanoi.
The city also aims to have 80 percent of public services at the district level going online at the second level, meaning people and businesses can clearly understand administrative formalities and related steps from the websites of government agencies.
Hanoi authorities also plan to develop a network that enables the city’s government agencies to meet online in the second quarter of 2009, with 11 points. At the end of the third quarter of 2009, this system will connect up to 71 points.
By this year’s end, the city will have put into operation a local network at the Hanoi People’s Committee office.
