Welsh Secretary Visits Cambodia To Boost Trade Ties

PHNOM PENH, May 16 (Bernama) -- Secretary of State for Wales Cheryl Gillan arrived here Wednesday afternoon for a two-day visit to promote bilateral trade and investment ties between the United Kingdom and Cambodia, according to a press release from the UK embassy in Phnom Penh.

Her visit is part of a tour to Thailand, Cambodia and Singapore focused on U.K. trade and investment in the Southeast Asian region, Xinhua news agency quoted the press release as saying.

During her visit, Gillan will give a speech on the UK economy and UK-Cambodia trade and investment and open a new factory for Quantum Clothing (Cambodia) Ltd.
