85% of companies in the USA and South East Asia will expand their business in the region

The Association of South-East Asian Nations is becoming a more important region for companies, the AmCham report states.

Referring to the US Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, the Reuters agency has announced that 85% of US companies are planning to expand their business in the region, since its role in the next two years will increase dramatically. The survey involved 327 heads of US companies in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. 73% of respondents announced that the authority of the ASEAN is increasing but last year only 70% of respondents thought so. Moreover, there are no companies, which would like to decrease their presence in the region. The Gazeta.ru reported that Indonesia is the most important country for US business.
