HA NOI — Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and President Nguyen Minh Triet yesterday sent a letter of condolences to King of Cambodia Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihamoni to express their deep sympathy over the tragedy that occurred on Monday night.
Similar letters from Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong, and Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem were sent to Cambodia's Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen, Senate Chairman Chea Sim, National Assembly President Heng Samrin and Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Hor Namhong, respectively.
The Vietnamese leaders expressed their belief that the Cambodian people would soon overcome the huge loss. — VNS
