THANH NIEN
-- Sacombank STB.HM said it will set up branches in Laos and Cambodia next year and in Australia and the United States by 2015.

ECONOMIC AND GENERAL NEWS:
HANOI MOI
-- Utility group EVN said it would add 2,156 megawatt of electricity sources to the national power grid by the year end.

SAIGON GIAI PHONG
-- Rice export prices may rise this month thanks to demand in the Philippines of as much as 500,000 tonnes, the Agriculture Ministry's information centre said.

LAO DONG
-- Vietnam produced 11.44 million tonnes of crude oil as of August, an increase of 16.6 percent from a year earlier, the Industry and Trade Ministry said.

THOI BAO KINH TE VIETNAM
