According to a villager from Svai Ton district said on Monday that they will conduct the demonstration if Vietnamese authorities still not solve any problem to relating their lands.

Khmer Krom farmers in Svai Ton and Kra Bao district always stand up for rights and demand the return their farmlands. When they conduct the demonstration, the Vietnamese authorities always threaten and sometimes were injured when the police used their electric baton to hit them.

A villager from Svai Ton said that they have a plan to demonstrate to demand the Vietnamese authorities to release his ancestral land,"We have a plan to collect each others to conduct the demonstration or go to make the field on our ancestral land without allowing from Vietnamese authorities. We think that if we do not do like this or we still wait for their solving, it is hopeless."
A man from Svai Ton district does not give us to know his name continue," Vietnamese authorities always promise with us when we demand our ancestral lands which were confiscated. But all promises are idle promise".

According to this information, many people in Svai Ton village have prepared already when they want to conduct the demonstration. On 09 January, 2008, approximately 200 Khmer Krom famers in Mort Chrouk province headed to Ba Rach or Long Xuyen city to peacfully demand the return their famrlands. At that time, at least 20 peoples were injured when the Vietnamese police used their electric baton to hit Khmer Krom farmers who had demonstrated.

Khmer Krom in Mort Chrouk always complain that the Vietnamese authorities used the worst trick to dismiss them from homeland to live in Hau Giang and Kleang province during 1978-1982. When they returned, their ancestral lands were be confiscated and brought it share to Vietnamese people.

A brave girl also from Svai Ton district who is living in Chi Ka-Eng village, ever injured after an electric baton was used to silence ther protests said,"this time there are many people want to join with us to go to our field and make it even if Vietnamese authorities do not allow. We do like this not mean we do not respect Vietnam law, but Vietnam law does not prevent us. Vietnamese authorities use these law to suppress us and threaten us."

For special time to demonstrate, noone could know clearly, but all of them clarify that they will conduct the demonstration and go to make field on the ancestral land which were be confiscated by Vietnamese authorities and Vietnamese villager.
