In an open letter dated 11 July 2009, Mr Tim Sakhorn, the former abbot of Phnom Den pagoda have plead gratitude for the support he recieved.
“My deepest thanks to the national parities, national and international organizations. To the Khmer compatriots inside and overseas and especially the Khmers Kampuchea Krom Federation (KKF) for their active support in every possible way to help me free from the injustice and oppression of the Vietnamese authority” wrote Tim Sakhorn.
“I would like to ask the KKF, other NGO and the international community to help find justice for other Khmer Krom” he continues.
Tim Sakhorn was forcefully defrocted, arrested and kidnapped to be jailed in Vietnam for the alleged crime of “undermine the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia”.
