Singapore: Minister of State for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Madam Halimah Yacob, will lead a delegation to Siem Reap, Cambodia, for a meeting on gender equality.
She will also deliver a speech at the 4th East Asia Gender Equality Ministerial Meeting taking place Thursday and Friday (17-18 November).
The meeting is organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs of Cambodia.
Leaders from 18 countries in East Asia responsible for women's issues will meet to discuss and share ideas on how women can participate and contribute more fully and effectively in society and the economy.
Issues that will be discussed include "The Green Economy" and "Women in Post-Crisis Economic Recovery".
