The Dong Thap provincial People’s Committee has held a reburial ceremony for 63 Vietnamese volunteers who died in Cambodia during the last war.

The remains of the soldiers were reburied at Tay Nam border cemetery in Tam Nong district on July 23.

Over the past year, the Dong Thap military command has worked with the local authorities in Cambodia’s Pray Veng and Posat provinces to search for and uncover the remains of 63 Vietnamese fallen combatants who laid down their lives on Cambodian battlefields.

Up to now, Dong Thap province has held reburial services for 1,003 Vietnamese martyrs who died in Cambodia.
